Mission and Values of EMC
Mission:
The Eva Marsden Centre for Social Justice and Aging is dedicated to restoring humanity and dignity to the experience of growing older in our society. EMC works to improve all aspects of health and well-being while collectively addressing systemic issues that impact daily life.
Vision:
EMC is an organization dedicated to the respect, valuing and empowerment of older adults.
EMC advocates an innovative approach to the provision of services. EMC strives to affirm the dignity and worth of the whole person – body, mind and spirit – by carrying out our mission through a process that is sensitive and humanistic. EMC protects its organizational autonomy and integrity while simultaneously working in partnership with government agencies and community organizations.
Values:
EMC strives to empower individuals according to their individual capacities. Its policies and practices reflect an organic organization that is highly resourceful and responsive.
