What Information Does the Eva Marsden Centre Gather?

Certain information such as (but not limited to) your name, phone number, date of birth, home address, income, and other information relating to our members may be collected by the Eva Marsden centre for various purposes.  For example, in our intake process, we take detailed notes on various aspects of your situation, such as your health status, which may include sensitive information. 

The choice of how much information is provided is always in your control, however,  certain information may be necessary to determine eligibility to be able to provide you with possible resources and assistance.

We will not sell, trade or distribute the names, email addresses, or contact information of our members unless required by law.

If you agree to participate in our programs,we may use your personal information to send you promotional information. You will receive our spring and fall newsletter via email or by mail.

What We May Do With The Information We Collect

You may wish to contact us to provide feedback, report a problem, inform us of a change in the services provided or simply ask us a question. As part of these communications, we will collect information such as your first and last name, your email address, the subject of your inquiry, and any other information that is voluntarily shared with us.

Why: We use this information to identify you and to respond to your inquiries or requests.

How do we use your information?

The Eva Marsden Centre uses the personal information collected for the following purposes: 

  1. Internal record keeping (we have a web programming called Salesforce, which has 2 authenticators and is only accessible by staff members where we store our member’s info with notes, documents, services and deliverables)
  2. Improvement of programs and services
  3. Promotional communication such as newsletters
  4. Have a comprehensive view of our membership for our funders
  5. Surveys and a more targetted approach to research and outreach

You can decline to submit personal information at any point, however, we do require certain background information and sensitive information to provide you with appropriate services.

Personal Information

We request personal information from you when you require a service. You only need to register once for any service or program within the organization. This information will not be used for any purpose other than the one for which it was collected. The Eva Marsden Centre will obtain your consent if the information is needed for a different purpose.
